We recommend 30 Characters (Letters) including spaces. Less is better
The more characters, the smaller the font size. 

Also, we can engrave a handwritten note.  After you have ordered, email me a picture (you can scan or take overhead picture with phone) of the handwritten message you would like engraved and email me at born2blossomdesigns@gmail.com . It needs to be on white paper and written with a black thick pen or sharpie. Picture needs to be well lit, no shadows, and not blurry.
